Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 148,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 148, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication No. 514
dated October 31, 2013, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5 (Parking), Section 24-281,
Schedule 29 (Parking prohibited during certain hours on certain streets; tow-away zone), under (c)
South Hilo by adding "Kalanianaā¯‘ole Street, south side, from a point eighty-three feet east of the
Seaside Restaurant driveway to a point one hundred eighty feet west of Lokoaka Street."
The purpose of this measure is to establish a tow-away zone in the area.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Bill No. 148 and recommends it passage on first reading.
