Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 149,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 149, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication No. 515
dated October 31, 2013, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5 (Parking), Section 24-280,
Schedule 28 (No parking anytime), paragraph (c) South Hilo of the Hawai`i County Code by revising
existing item (50) to read "Kalaniana`ole Street, south side, from a point one hundred eight feet west of
Lokoaka Street to Leleiwi Street."
The purpose of this measure is to revise the existing no parking at anytime zone in order to establish a
tow-away zone in the area.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Bill No. 149 and recommends it passage on first reading.
