RESOLUTION NO. 254 13
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR CHAIRS AT MAKA`EO EVENTS PAVILION.
WHEREAS, Maka`eo Events Pavilion is used by citizens of the County of Hawai`i for
family celebrations, community meetings, and other large events; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, needs new
chairs in order to continue to provide the community with recreational activities at Maka`eo
Events Pavilion; and
WHEREAS, due to aging chairs and an increase in population and usage of the facility,
replacement and additional chairs need to be purchased; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase of chairs for use at Maka`eo Events
Pavilion; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
