RESOLUTION NO. 256 13
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER
FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A
MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT FOR THE SOFTWARE AND LICENSING
FOR THE ACTIVE DIRECTORY/EXCHANGE EMAIL UPGRADE
PROJECT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLGY
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract,
lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later
fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year agreement for
three (3) years, for software and licensing for the Active Directory/Exchange Email
upgrade project; and
WHEREAS, the Active Directory/Exchange Email system is the backbone of the
County of Hawaii's network infrastructure and electronic communications system; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a three (3) year
agreement for software and licensing, for the Active Directory/Exchange
Email upgrade project for the Department of Information Technology.
2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the
anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this software and licensing agreement shall
be for a period of three (3) years, at an annual cost not to exceed $180,000.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii
shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Department of
Information Technology, and the Finance Department.
