SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-288 - NEW FREIGHT LOADING ZONE - KEAWE STREET
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10 (Schedules), Division 6,
(Loading Zones), Section 24-288, Schedule 36, (Freight loading and unloading zones),
subsection (c) South Hilo be amended by adding new item and renumbering as
required:
( ) KEAWE STREET, SOUTHWEST (MAUKA) SIDE, FROM A POINT SIXTEEN
FEET NORTHWEST (HAMAKUA) OF KALAKAUA STREET AND EXTENDING
SIXTEEN FEET IN THE NORTHWESTERLY (HAMAKUA) DIRECTION.
This amendment was initiated in an effort to add a loading zone in an area where there
is a high concentration of businesses and loading and unloading activities are frequent.
A location map is attached for your reference.
