Home My WebLink AboutDIG Ordinance Pub 11-059 (6/30/11) Ordinance Number 11 -59 Pursuant to Hawai`i County Charter, Article III, Section 3 -12, the Mayor may veto any item or portion thereof and the item or portion thereof so vetoed shall not take effect unless the Council shall reconsider the vote on the bill and, upon such reconsideration, the bill is again passed by the affirmative vote of two - thirds of the entire membership; and pursuant to Article X, Section 10 -5, if the veto is not overridden the operating budget as submitted by the Mayor shall be deemed adopted by the Council as the operating budget for the ensuing fiscal year.
