Council on December 19, 2012, by vote as listed below:
Bill 313 (Draft 2) (2010-2012): Amends Ordinance No. 12-87, as Amended, Relating to Public
Improvements and Financing Thereof for the Fiscal Year July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013. Adds
Department of Parks and Recreation: Multi-Purpose Event Center ($500,000); funds shall be
provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance and/or Other
Sources ($500,000). AYES: Council Members Ford, Ilagan, Kanuha, Kern, Onishi, Poindexter,
Wille, Yoshimoto, and Acting Chair Eoff— 9; NOES: None; ABSENT: None; EXCUSED: None.
Bill 332 (2010-2012): Amends Ordinance No. 12-86, as Amended, the Operating Budget for the
County of Hawai`i for the Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 2013. Increases revenues in State Grants-
Area Plan on Aging ($240,328); and appropriates same to Area Plan on Aging. AYES: Council
Members Ford, Ilagan, Kanuha, Kern, Onishi, Poindexter, Wille, Yoshimoto, and Acting Chair
Eoff— 9; NOES: None; ABSENT: None; EXCUSED: None.
Bill 10 (2012-2014): Authorizes the Issuance of General Obligation Refunding Bonds of the
County of Hawai`i for the Purpose of Refunding Certain Outstanding General Obligation Bonds
and Notes; Fixing the Form, Denominations, and Certain Other Details of Such Refunding Bonds
and Providing for Their Sale to the Public; Providing for the Retirement of the Bonds to be
Refunded; and Authorizes the Taking of Other Actions Relating to the Issuance and Sale of the
Refunding Bonds and the Retirement of the Bonds to be Refunded. Authorizes the issuance of
general obligation refunding bonds, not to exceed 60,000,000 for the purpose of refinancing
outstanding County debt in the form of bonds that were issued and loans that were acquired at
higher interest rates. (The bonds and obligations are listed in this bill). AYES: Council Members
Ford, Ilagan, Kanuha, Kern, Onishi, Poindexter, Wille, Yoshimoto, and Acting Chair Eoff—9;
NOES: None; ABSENT: None; EXCUSED: None.
