Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 161
reports as follows:
Bill No. 161, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. Lee, via Communication No. 552
dated November 27, 2013, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-265, Schedule
13 (Yield locations), subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005
Edition, as amended) by adding "Ainaloa Drive, north approach adjacent to parcels 2-4-007:049
and 2-4-007:053."
The purpose of this measure is being proposed based on a request from the public to assign right
of way at the subject one-lane section of Ainaloa Drive.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Bill No. 161 and recommends it passage on first reading.
