Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 164
reports as follows:
Bill No. 164, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. Lee, via Communication No. 555
dated November 27, 2013 amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 7, Section 24-289 (36 minute
parking meter zones) of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended), by changing
the rates to 10 cents for 12 minutes and 25 cents for 36 minutes on portions of Kekaulike Street
and Kino`ole Street.
The intent of this amendment is to update the Hawai`i Count Code so the meter rates in the code
match the rates posted on the parking meters.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose
and intent of Bill No. 164 and recommends it passage on first reading.
