Aloha Council Members,
My name is Brandie Oye and I live in Kailapa . Kailapa is a Hawaiian homestead community, in Kawaihae. We
are over 20 yrs. old and we desperately need facilities such as a park and community center.
We hold our meetings peoples homes or under tents on the streets and our children play on the roads as we have
no place else to go. This community center and children's playground it would serve residents of all ages to have
a place to meet, greet, play, and carry out the work of our community leaders Community Emergency Response
Team (CERT) members as well as our growing surrounding communities.
Please support funding for Kailapa's community center.
