Aloha Council Members,
My name is Donna Parker and I live in Kailapa. Kailapa is a Hawaiian homestead community in Kawaihae. We are
over 20 yrs. old and we desperately need facilities such as a park and community center.
We hold our meetings at residences or under tents on the streets. Our children play on the roads as we have no
place else to accommodate them. This community center and children's playground would serve residents of all
ages to have a place to meet, greet, play, and carry out the work of our community leaders, Community Emergency
Response Team (CERT) members as well as our growing surrounding communities.
Please support funding for Kailapa's community center.
