Subject: RE: Alaloa Trail in North Kohala
Local people in Kohala have the right to access for subsistence fishing and farming, and
this development by Kohala Kai is not appropriate as it does not respect history or
community. Our coastline is precious. This community has people passionate enough to
change much land into public access. It is not okay to block access that has been for
generations. Our access roads are critical. The Alaloa Trail is not something that can
be moved. Please make pono choices and think about the generations to come. Please help
Kohala residents perpetuate the lifestyle of their ancestors and keep out private
developers that compromise this culture.
It is your job to help the local people. . . not developers from Vegas.
