RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the County General Plan requires that community
plans be developed to serve as middle and short range plans; and
WHEREAS, the draft North Kohala Community Development Plan was
developed after several years of extensive community participation;
and
WHEREAS, the Committee on Planning has reviewed the draft with
residents of the community at a public hearing and found general
support of the plan; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has adopted the plan, via
resolution, as the commission ' s official document to guide all of its
decisions within the North Kohala district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the North Kohala Community Development Plan be adopted as
the official document to guide future development in North Kohala .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii
is instructed to transmit copies of this resolution to the Mayor , the
Planning Commission, the Kohala Community Association, the
North Kohala Businessmen 's Association and the Kohala Senior Citizens
Club.
