RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Resolution 147-86, adopted by the Hawaii County Council
on March 5, 1986, clearly expresses the Council ' s support for the
location of a Foreign Trade Zone within the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is ready to submit an application
with the Foreign Trade Zone Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii, be and is hereby
designated and authorized to sign in the name of the County of
Hawaii such application forms and other documents for submission to
the Foreign Trade Zone Board .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Research and
Development be designated as the authorized agency to receive all
communications.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii be
directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to
the Honorable Dante K. Carpenter, Mayor of the County of Hawaii and
any interested government or governmental agency .
