Re: Special Council Meeting/Executive Session
Selection of the Legislative Auditor
Pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(2), Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended, I request that the Council
hold an Special Council Meeting/Executive Session to consider the hire of an officer or
employee.
The purpose of this Special Council Meeting/Executive Session is to continue the process for
selection of the new Legislative Auditor. We will conduct interviews of the top three applicants
during this meeting. In addition, we anticipate discussion with the Corporation Counsel
personnel matters directly related to the Council's powers, duties, privileges, immunities and
liabilities. I request that this matter be placed on the January 7, 2014 agenda, commencing at
8:15 a.m.
