It is about the fastest growing business in the US. Organic produce used to only be found in natural food stores, now it can be bought in just about every grocery chain. The more people are informed about GMO's the more they want to stay away from therm. Why would anyone put everyone's else's farms at risk of being contaminated and why would anyone want to kill one of the fastest growing businesses in the US? The two myths that the pro GMO group likes to keep the public misinformed about is that GMO's are the same as traditional horticulture. Traditional horticulturists never did things like put an animal gene or a virus into a vegetable. The other myth they are fond of telling people is that "Nobody ever died from GMO's". Who would know?No long term human studies have been done, and only one long term animal study has been done on only one kind of GMO. That study showed a statistical significant difference with the animals fed only GMO corn to have ended up with more diseases such as cancer. Please do not allow any more GMO's on this island. Lets encourage small farmers to produce healthy natural foods and feed our island. Mahalo, Sheryl Palmer Vic) ca -CD ;c Win, CD to Comm. No. 9.3, 3 98 Ref.To: P/Cototi/ Ref.
