Aloha! I want to show my support of Bill 113. I am a medical professional working in the Home Health
Field. I am a mother and a wife. I am a contributing member of this community. I have been researching
nutrition and the effects GMO's have on people, pets, our Land. They are disguised to do severe damage
to people, pets and our Aina'. Bt Toxins are found to explode the stomach of the insect that takes a
nibble of this plant/fruit. This will happen to our stomachs as well over a period of time.
I am understanding of this harmful situation and do not purchase or support any non-organic food or
product! In other countries like Mexico that has the same weather, they do not allow GMO or pesticides
in there land and they are doing GREAT without the GMO crops! There are other crops that can be
grown here organically besides the GMO ones. There are organic pesticides and fertilizers that do no
damage to our Aina' or the plant which in turn would not have any damage to our delicate tissues of the
body!
The corporations are not for the People, they want to be in Hawaii in case the EXPERIMENTS go
wrong so it would be contained from the world. That sounds kind of scary, doesn't it! Does the Mayor
eat Organic? I hope so!
For the Health and Safety of Hawaii Island and the State of Hawaii, I urge you Mayor Kenoi to vote in
favor of Bill 113. Thank you for your time and may God be with you!
