Comm. 489.5: SELECTION OF THE LEGISLATIVE AUDITOR
From Council Chair J Yoshimoto, dated December 27, 2013, requesting an
executive session to consider the hire of the new Legislative Auditor.
The Council anticipates convening an executive meeting regarding the above matters, pursuant to
Sections 92-5(a)(2) and 92-5(a)(4), for the purpose of considering the hiring of an officer or employee,
as well as consulting with Council’s attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Council’s powers,
duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes,
Section 92-4, and Rules No. 2 and No. 10 of the Rules of Procedure of the County Council is necessary
to hold an executive meeting.
