ORDER OF RESOLUTIONS Res. 261-14: AUTHORIZES THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, TO SUPPORT WILDLAND AND STRUCTURAL FIREFIGHTING SERVICES WITHIN THE BIG ISLAND NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE COMPLEX The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) identifies the terms and conditions for firefighting services provided by the Hawai‘i Fire Department and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in the refuge complex, which includes the Hakalau Forest and Kona Forest National Wildlife Reserves. The MOU would expire on December 31, 2019. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance, and/or Other Sources, and would be used for site investigation, master planning and preliminary design. Funds for this project shall be provided from General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund-Fund Balance, and/or Other Sources, and would be used for construction of asphalt shoulders along the roadway.
