Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 176,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 176, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. Lee, via Communication No. 586
dated December 18, 2013, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 2, Section 24-265,
Schedule 13 (yield locations), subsection (a), Hamakua, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983
(2005 Edition, as amended), by adding "Old Mamalahoa Highway, southwestbound approach
adjacent to parcel 4-6-011:046" and renumbering as required.
This measure is being proposed based on a request from the public to assign right of way at the
subject one-lane section of Old Mamalahoa Highway.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 176 and recommends its passage on first reading.
