Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 177,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 177, transmitted by Public Works Director Warren H. Lee, via Communication No. 587
dated December 18, 2013, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, Schedule
28 (no parking anytime), subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005
Edition, as amended), by adding "Punahele Street, southeast side, from Komohana Street to
Hala`i Street" and renumbering as required.
This measure is being proposed based on a request to restrict parking in this narrow section of
Punahele Street.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No. 177 and recommends its passage on first reading.
