Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Craig S. Takamine to the County of Hawai'i Water Board.
Mr. Takamine is a lifelong resident of Hawai'i. He is the President of Takamine
Construction, Inc.
Mr. Takamine is presently on the Board of Directors of the Kanoelehua Industrial
Association and the Hawai'i Island Chamber of Commerce. He is the past president of
the Hawai'i Island Contractors Association and an advisory board member of the
Career and Technical Program at Hawai'i Community College. Mr. Takamine states
that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to end
on December 31, 2018, replacing Arthur Taniguchi whose term expired on
December 31, 2013.
