COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> • <br /> . 7TE OF•N. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 283 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND <br /> FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE 2014 PUNA REGIONAL EMERGENCY <br /> PREPAREDNESS FAIR. <br /> WHEREAS, due to Puna's geographical location, large land mass and lack of sufficient <br /> infrastructure, a key priority of the community is to plan for an emergency response, evacuation and <br /> other safety and health related issues for any disaster; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Puna Community Development Plan's Committee on Connectivity and <br /> Emergency Response and the Hawai`i County Civil Defense Agency will be presenting the second <br /> Puna Regional Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Fair at the Kea'au High School on August 30, 2014; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the inaugural 2013 PREP Fair was a success, bringing together government, <br /> businesses, non-profit organizations and the public, and providing important emergency plan <br /> information; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the <br /> Hawai`i County Civil Defense Agency for the 2014 Puna Regional Emergency Preparedness (PREP) <br /> Fair; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL: <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $4,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $4,000 <br />
