-+SY N <br /> • . . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •: �""`' / • <br /> .,�,� STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> ' T�-OF-M►�- <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 294 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br /> FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI- <br /> YEAR LEASE FOR ONE (1) FIRE APPARATUS (TANKER TRUCK) FOR THE <br /> HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of <br /> more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for <br /> five (5) years, for one (1) fire apparatus for the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the estimated lease cost is $7,000 per month, or $420,000 over the sixty <br /> (60) month term; and <br /> WHEREAS, the apparatus will be assigned to West Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, this apparatus will provide an additional three thousand (3,000) gallons of <br /> water to supplement current fire trucks and smaller brush trucks which have capacities of one <br /> thousand (1,000) gallons or less; now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease <br /> agreement for one (1) fire apparatus for the Hawai`i Fire Department. <br /> 2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br /> anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
