Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Capital Budget by re-appropriating the lapsed fuel
tax funds from a past fiscal year. These funds will be appropriated as indicated in Exhibit"A" of
the proposed ordinance. The source of lapsed funds is from CIP account 2271.33 (Lapsed Fuel Tax
10 — 12). The total amount being re-appropriated with this bill is $2,300,121.41.

Amend Ordinance 13-66, the Capital Budget by re-appropriating lapsed fuel tax funds to the following:

ROADWAY PROJECTS (ENG) $1,661,709.92
BRIDGE INSPECTION, REPAIR & REPLACEMENT PROGRAM (ENG) 359,828.44
LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS (HWY) 278,583.05
TOTAL $2,300,121.41

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The appropriations established by Ordinance 10-118 lapsed on 6/30/13. The Roadway Projects and Bridge
Inspection, Repair & Replacement Programs (Engineering) are project specific. Several projects are listed to
ensure that all of the appropriated funds are expended.
