Re: Capital Budget
For FY 2011-12, $2,889,216 was budgeted for Fuel Tax Increase revenues. The actual revenue
realized for Fuel Tax Increase was $3,163,919.67, exceeding the budgeted amount by $274,703.67.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance to appropriate these excess revenues to the Capital Projects Fund
in order for the Department of Public Works to expend it.

A. REQUEST:
To amend Ordinance No. 13-65, the Operating Budget by appropriating excess fuel tax
revenues collected in a prior fiscal year in the amount of $274,703.67 which needs to be
transferred to the Capital Project Fund:
Revenue: 020.3609.08 Fund Balance from Prior Year— Reserved $274,703.67
Expenditure: 020.801.5801.34.341 Trans to Cap Proj Fund $274,703.67
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
These excess revenues collected must be appropriated to transfer it to the Capital Project Fund in order for
the Department of Public Works to be able to expend it.
