Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Karolyn P. Lundkvist, of Council District 4 to the County of Hawai'i
Police Commission. Ms. Lundkvist is a 17-year resident of Hawai'i. She recently ended her
term as a member of the Salary Commission on December 31, 2013.
Ms. Lundkvist is a member and past president of the Hilo Bay Rotary Club. She is also the past
charter president of the Pahoa Rotary Club. Ms. Lundkvist is a member of the Zonta Club and
the United Nations of Hilo. She states that she is a Republican. If confirmed, she will serve the
remainder of a term that ends on December 31, 2014, replacing Jeffrey T. Gray who resigned.
