REGARDING: Communication No. 626

LOCATION: Council Chambers, Hilo, Hawaii
TITLE: Nominates Craig S. Takamine to the Water Board
EXPLANATION: From Mayor William P. Kenoi, submitting for the Council's
review and confirmation Mr. Takamine's nomination. If
confirmed, he will serve a term to end on December 31, 2018.
A lifelong resident of Hawaii, Mr. Takamine is President of
Takamine Construction, Inc. He currently serves on the Board of
Directors of the Kanoelehua Industrial Association and the Hawaii
Island Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he served in the past a
President of the Hawaii Contractors Association and as an
advisory board member of the Career and Technical Program at the
Hawaii Community College. Mr. Takamine states that he is not
affiliated with any political party.
RECOMMENDATION: Confirmation of the appointment of Craig S. Takamine to the
Water Board.
