Subject: I Support Bill 113
Aloha e Hawaii County Councilmembers,
Tragedy doesn't have to be in our backyard for us to see the writing on the wall! Please vote to pass Bill
#113 on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, or vote silently if you can not vote to support the bill.
I do not support Biotechnology, Genetic Modification (GM), or Genetic Engineering (GE) in any form for
the following reasons:
1. Genetically Engineered Food Safety has no long term animal studies that I can access for
reassurance.
2. Genetic Engineering has lead to the reduction of our crop diversity.
- CHOICE— I'm not talking about your choice, and my choice, I'm talking about the availability
of choice — If you only have one TYPE of apple, there is no choice.
Honestly, this list could go on-and-on, but I'll stop here. For me and my family our minds were made up
with number one; no long term animal studies that we can access for reassurance of this technologies
safety. As a consumer I understand the importance of doing my own homework, and knowing what I
am purchasing. I also understand that it is the companies/corporations job to sell their products.
Please Pass The Bill —Support Bill #113
Sincerely,
