The Hawaiian Islands are a great treasure. Nature gave bountiful gifts to these islands, and the
traditional culture nurtured and respected this unique environment. Now, the island ecosystems and the
people of the islands are suffering from the introduction and continued use of dangerous, toxic pesticides
and genetically modified crops. Monsanto has proven over and over again, that it is looking for profit,
not serving the populous.
GMO foods have been banned in many countries, yet we Americans have to fight the power of the vast
influence these corporations have on our government to try to get GMO foods labeled, let alone get them
banned.
I support all those who are working hard to preserve the land in safety for the children's children. Those
who are working hard now to educate people about the adverse effects of GMO food products and
pesticides.
A fervent hope from a citizen in California is that you will VOTE YES ON BILL 113!
