Subject: i am for bill 113
Aloha my name is Anthony Priola and i feel that the GMO corporations are no
longer working to improve anything for the state, this land or its people. They
are only here for profit in their own interests.Tthey say they are bringing in jobs
but only 10% of the people that work on their farms are from the US. They say
they are feeding the world but only to the highest bidder and we still have
people hungry in Hawaii. They also promised the Kamehameha schools they
would be putting back into the schools agricultural programs, and have yet to do
so. I feel they have had more then enough time to help and they now want to
practice air pollination. They only want to do this because they know they can
contain the destruction on the non gm plaint life to just Hawaii. We must go
back to a time where there wasn't a difference between organic and non
organic. The pesticides and hormones they spray are not only effecting us and
the generations to come, but the bees and pro bugs that help us farmers
pollinate our food. The run off of this known toxic spray is washing into our
oceans, affecting all marine life - including the fish many Hawaiians depend on
to feed their families. This is why i am for any bill supporting non GMO farming
and would like to see Bill 113 pass. I hope the council can see this as well.
Sincerely,
Anthony Priola, North Hilo District
