I am writing in support of bill 113. If you consider the oppositions perspective you will see that each person or corp that speaks against bill 113 has a personal agenda. They profit from the bill not passing, they profit from bringing GMO corporations and their money to the Big Island. The same GMO corporation that are tied up in multiple law suits and who have a well documented history of abusing and bullying the communities they poison and infest. On the other hand, the people who support 113 have little to no monetary gain, they are supporting this bill from an altruistic place. They are supporting this bill because, like you, they care about our communities, the health of our residents and the future generations. I support bill 113 because I care about our Island and do not want to see our farmers, residents or children be poisoned by GMO companies or their money. Today, by passing bill 113 you can show the residents of the Big Island that you will not be bought, that you are here to serve the people and more importantly you are here to protect them.
