The most important thing to keep in mind when you vote on this bill is how special this place is that we
are all blessed to live in. I look outside my window and all I can see is lush growth and beauty but if I
went out there and stuck a shovel in the ground all I would find is rock. That is the world that is
provided for me by the creator and it works really well when us humans decide to function within its
limits and learn our lessons from observing its traits but when we ignore that reality the results are often
deplorable. The Island of Hawai'i is truly a special place and I hope all of the council understands this
and you want it to remain that way. The Biotech Industry seems determined to take over agriculture
come hell or high water (excuse the language but it is the best expression I could come up with) and they
have the farmers scared but the consumers are waking up from their slumber and seeing the reality and
everyone here can benefit from this if we so desire. Hopefully the tide has turned and people everywhere
will be demanding that suppliers and farmers turn back the clock and we can start eating delicious food
again instead of the generic stuff they are trying to force on us but if we keep the GMO wolves at bay
and people come here and eat the incredible food that can be grown if we remain Pono they will want to
take that experience home with them and we will have a thriving agricultural community. Submitted by
