The topic of GMO's has been a primary focus of my study and research due to its huge consequences on our health. It is imperative that we now recognize how this direction of"bio-tech food" taken many years ago (beginning in Hawaii with research on Maui in the 1970's) will have enormous consequences. There is a tremendous amount of independent research in this matter that has been done in the last 10 years. Kauai set a very recent example with the council override of the Mayoral veto. The Big Island need follow suit and exclude this harmful GMO development in food to be ended as soon as possible. If we do not, I can assure you, that we will live to regret the consequences to our families, and especially our children. S.
