Subject Additional Parking
Aloha council members. I am writing on behalf of Honoka'a Elementary School in
support of the joint effort between the County and State to help alleviate the parking
challenges at our school. Although attempts such as one way traffic flow and
signage have been implemented over the years to remedy the congestion the
problem still exists. This project would serve the school as well as the adjacent
sports complex while promoting community and building partnerships.
Parking has always been a challenge, as it is for many schools throughout our state.
The efforts put forth between these two branches of government will serve as a
reminder about focusing on safety and needs.
Thank you for this opportunity to share my support for this project.
