ORDINANCE NO. 14 15
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 5, SECTION 24-284
OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO
PARKING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The purpose of this measure is being proposed based on a request from the
public to revise the existing two hour parking in the subject area.
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-284, Schedule 32. Two
hour parking areas, subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as
amended), is amended by revising existing item as follows:
(17) Kino`ole Street, northeast imakail side, the first [ten] seven stalls southeast of
Ponahawai Street.
SECTION 3. The purpose of this measure is to update the Hawaii County Code to match
what exists in the field.
SECTION 4. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-284, Schedule 32. Two hour
parking areas, subsection (c), South Hilo, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended),
is amended by revising existing item as follows:
(19) Kino`ole Street, southwest mauka side, the first [six] seven stalls southeast of
Ponahawai Street [and Central Fire Station] excluding the freight loading zone
as set forth in Section 24-288 (Schedule 36, Freight Loading Zones).
SECTION 5. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In
printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be
included.
SECTION 6. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof
to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or
applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application,
and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
