ORDINANCE NO. 263
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 ( TRAFFIC CODE) , ARTICLE 8,
SECTION 5, HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1975, AS AMENDED, RELATING
TO SPEED LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII :
SECTION 1 . Schedule 5 (SPECIAL SPEED LIMITS) of
Chapter 6, Article 8, Section 5, Hawaii County Code 1975,
as amended, is hereby amended by adding thereto the following
new item under the "THIRTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR" category:
" . The Kawaihae Road from the easterly side of
the Kawaihae Stream Bridge to a point 400 feet
westerly of the intersection with the Kawaihae-
Mahukona Road. "
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
approval .

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 (TRAFFIC CODE) , ARTICLE 8, SECTION 5,
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1975, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO SPEED LIMITS .
This Bill amends Chapter 6 (Traffic Code) , Article 8, Section 5,
Hawaii County Code, by establishing a 35 mph speed limit on
Kawaihae Road.
Date Introduced: March 16, 1977
