Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members: -
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. John Dill of Council District 1 to the County of Hawaii
Environmental Management Commission. Mr. Dill is a lifelong resident of Hawaii. He
is employed by Rider Levett Bucknall as a project manager, and he is also employed by
RCUH as a surveyor.
Mr. Dill serves on the board of the Hawaii Island Contractor's Association. He states
that he is not affiliated with any political party. Mr. Dill was confirmed to this commission
in February 2013, to serve the remainder of a term that expired on December 31, 2013.
Hawaii County Charter Section 13-4(c), states that "members of any board or
commission appointed for a term of two years or less shall be eligible to succeed
themselves for an additional full term." If Mr. Dill is confirmed today, he will serve a full
term to end on December 31, 2018.
