Bill 210: AMENDS ORDINANCE NO. 13-65, AS AMENDED THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2014 Increases revenues in the Federal Grants - State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year 2013 account($70,000); and appropriates same to the State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year 2013 account ($70,000), bringing the total appropriation to $370,000. The funds would be used to purchase specialized equipment to enhance the capability of State and County agencies to prevent and respond to incidents of terrorism and other hazards. Reference: Comm. 693 Intr. by: Ms. Poindexter Page 4 FC-29 March 18, 2014 Bill 215: AMENDS CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 25, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS Replaces the requirement that any equipment purchased through a grant award from the Contingency Relief Fund to a nonprofit organization be purchased pursuant to procurement law and be kept as property of the County, with a new provision providing that such equipment would be purchased without procurement law restrictions and would become the property of the nonprofit organization, with that nonprofit organization assuming liability.
