AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 6, SECTION 24-288.1, SCHEDULE 36.1 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO ACTIVE LOADING AND UNLOADING ZONES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: SECTION 1. This amendment is being proposed based on a request by the Hawai`i Police Depaitment to create a short-term loading and unloading area fronting Honoka`a Elementary School. SECTION 2. Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 6. Loading Zones, Section 24-288.1, Schedule 36.1. Active loading and unloading zones, Paragraph(a) Hamakua be amended by adding new item: ) PAKALANA STREET, WEST SIDE, FIVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE FEET SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 240 AND EXTENDING EIGHTY-NINE FEET IN THE SOUTHERLY DIRECTION, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 12:00 P.M. AND 3:00 P.M. ON SCHOOL DAYS ONLY. SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets,bracketed and stricken material and underscoring need not be included. SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval. INTROD.
