RESOLUTION NO. 341 14
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE PANA`EWA
EQUESTRIAN CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation supports and promotes health and
well-being by offering diverse recreational activities that incorporate a broad spectrum of
interests, hobbies and passions of residents and visitors; and
WHEREAS, the Pana`ewa Equestrian Center is used to stables horses and is a venue for
rodeo competitions and exhibitions; and
WHEREAS, inadequate drainage creates muddy, hazardous conditions at the Pana`ewa
Equestrian Center Rodeo Arena; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation to redirect runoff and improve drainage; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC —Contingency Relief $6,000
CREDITED TO:
010.500.5523.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $6,000

229 Bldg & Constr Materials
(Drainage Improvement Project -
Pana`ewa Equestrian Center)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
