COUNTY OF HAWAII " •� �' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 349 14 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY <br /> DONATION OF $880 TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION <br /> WHEREAS, the Kona Mauka Rotary Club is donating $880 to the Department of Parks <br /> and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to supplement the cost of replacement playground <br /> equipment for the Greenwell Park playground; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the <br /> Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, <br /> Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by Resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of <br /> this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1 that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
