To: council testimony
Subject: Peter young's presentation
Importance: High
Aloha, council members,
I believe that allowing Peter Young to present live testimony on behalf of himself or the developers for whom
he's working has now created -- and should allow -- an unwieldy process where I and every other person
interested in water or ANY OTHER TOPIC should be allowed to do exactly what he was allowed by the council
to do today: ask for and be allowed to give a presentation on something of which we have a dire, vested, or
other interest.
I respect the right of Mr Young to his opinion and for his right to testify regarding an item on the agenda AS
THE REST OF THE PUBLIC CAN. But providing him a special opportunity to do a presentation "just because"
seems wrong and, at the least, reprehensible. The council had the opportunity to read Mr Young's
presentation. What was the need for him to speak further to it and in rebuttal to public testimony. Auwe!
I'm expecting especially mr Kanuha to research this situation and get back to me — and the general public —
regarding this situation since he was the one who introduced the request and is my council rep.
Mahalo for taking my thoughts seriously and giving them the attention they — and the public's interest —
deserves.
Sincerely,
Janice palma-glennie
