Dear Chairman Yoshimoto and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mr. Paul H. Maddox of Council District 7 to the County of
Hawaii Transportation Commission. Mr. Maddox is a 52-year resident of Hawaii. He is
self employed in commercial art and advertising. Mr. Maddox has been a member of
the Holualoa Village Association for 20 years, and was the president from 2008-2012.
He has also a member of the Hawaii Racing Association for 20 years, and has been its
president since 2001.
Mr. Maddox states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will
serve a term to expire on December 31, 2018, replacing Bryan Caldwell whose term
expired on December 31, 2013.
