SUBJECT: A Discussion of Green Waste and other Organics Impacts on Hawai`i
County's Solid Waste Handling
I request 45 minutes to allow former Council Member Bob Jacobson and Dr. James Weatherford
to provide an overview of green waste and other organics impacts on Hawai`i County's solid
waste handling and how they fit into future policies and spending. The scope of discussion will
include current and future handling of green waste and organics.
Please place this matter on the appropriate March 31, 2014 Committee agenda.
