JNtY Of <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII -*4 " /�•- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> \..r..-M tee..'`. <br /> 7>E Of•N.,� <br /> RESOLUTION NO, 354 14 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO `O KA`U KAKOU FOR <br /> THE NA'ALEHU 4TH OF JULY ACTIVITIES. <br /> WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization supporting community <br /> activities in the district of Ka`u; and <br /> WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou will plan, promote and implement the 4th of July Parade <br /> and activities in Na`alehu; and <br /> WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou provides children's activities on the 4th of July including: a <br /> water slide, rock wall climb, bouncing castle, a bouncing train, free hot dogs, watermelon, and <br /> shave ice in Na`alehu Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, `O Ka`u Kakou provides games and lunches for the seniors; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency <br /> Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution <br /> identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, or event for which the <br /> grant shall be used; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to <br /> the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to `O Ka`u Kakou for the Na`alehu 4th <br /> of July Activities; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT <br /> OF APPROPRIATION: $10,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5105.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $10,000 <br />
