REGARDING: Communication No. 729

TITLE: Nomination of Jay Uyeda to the Water Board
EXPLANATION: From Mayor William P. Kenoi, submitting for the Council's
review and confirmation, Mr. Uyeda's nomination.
Mr. Uyeda is a 42-year resident of Hawai`i, presently employed as
the Director of Development at the Hualalai Resort. Also serving
as a member of the Hawaii Planning Conference and the Hawaii
Society of Professional Engineers, he states he is a Democrat. If
confirmed, he will serve a term that will end on December 31,
2016.
Your Committee agreed that Mr. Uyeda is not required to attend
final confirmation at the full Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: Confirmation of the appointment of Jay Uyeda to the Water Board.
