Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 210, reports as follows:
Bill No. 210,transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 693 dated
February 18, 2014, amends Ordinance No. 13-65,as amended,the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2014. The amendment is as follows:
From:
010.3308.94 Federal Grants—State Homeland Security Pgm FY13 General $ 70,000
To:
010.241.5241.72 State Homeland Security Pgm FY13 General $ 70,000
This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants—State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year 2013
account($70,000); and appropriates same to the State Homeland Security Program Fiscal Year 2013
account($70,000), bringing the total appropriation to $370,000. The funds would be used to purchase
specialized equipment to enhance the capability of State and County agencies to prevent and respond to
incidents of terrorism and other hazards.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 210, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
