This is to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated January 25, 2000, requesting afive-yeaz
extension of time to Condition B of the above-referenced ordinance, Condition C of the PLID
Permit, and Condition 21 of the second revised tentative subdivision approval dated Mazch 3,
1994. We note the following:
1. Regarding the Change of Zone Ordinance, we find that on June 10, 1996, an
administrative extension of time to June 30, 1997 was granted in which to comply with
Condition B. Condition H of the ordinance allows the Planning Director to grant an
extension of time for performance of conditions within the permit. As noted above, an
administrative extension of time was granted on June 10, 1996. Therefore, your request
for an additional extension of time must be forwarded to the Planning Commission
through this office. A $250 filing fee, original and twenty copies of the request shall be
submitted when requesting an additional extension of time. A public hearing to consider
your request will be held within 120 days. After such a hearing is conducted, the request
and the Commission's recommendation will be forwazded to the County Council.

2. With respect to your request for a time extension to the PUD Permit, according to
Condition F of the permit, extensions and modifications to the permit are subject to the
Planning Director's approval. Please be advised that Condition C shall read as follows:
"Subdivider shall complete all requirements specified as conditions for approval of
the preliminary plat (tentative approval) by March 21, 2005."
3. Regarding Subdivision No. 89-179, we are now in the process of securing comments from
various agencies for the request for the 5-year time extension to Condition No. 21. We
will inform you in writing as to the status of the request as soon as possible.
