Also requests formation of an ad hoc committee pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §92-2.5(b). The ad hoc committee will conduct the grant reviews via interviews and/or site visitations with applicants, then provide its information and findings to HSSSC. Postponed: February 18, 2014 (Note: There is a pending motion by Mr. Ilagan and duly seconded by Mr. Kern to close file on Comm. 628.) ; and Comm. 628.1: APPLICATIONS FROM NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOR COUNTY FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2014-15 From Finance Director Nancy Crawford, dated February 11, 2014, submitting applications from nonprofit organizations pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 25, Hawaii County Code, for the Council's review and appropriation in the FY 2014-15 Operating Budget. and Comm. 628.2: RECOMMENDATIONS FOR GRANT APPROPRIATIONS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS From Human Services and Social Services Committee(HSSSC) Chair Karen Eoff, dated April 4, 2014, transmitting the HSSSC Ad Hoc Committee's recommendations for grant funding to nonprofit organizations for inclusion in the County of Hawaii Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2014-2015. A total of 103 eligible applications were received, with requests totaling $5,619,769.89. The recommendations have been developed through a review of all applications and interviews with each applicant. The email shall indicate the appropriate Committee or Council meeting, the meeting date, agenda item(communication, bill, resolution, or report number), and number of testifiers on the video submittal. Each video submittal shall be limited to a single agenda item. Video submittals may contain up to three individual testifiers and shall each be up to three minutes in length. Video testimony will not be played during the meeting; however, it will be distributed to Council Members prior to the meeting.
